FAQ - MGC Succulents
How do I care for my new succulent?
Succulents are pretty chill once you get the hang of them! For sun lovers, give them a sunny spot outside for at least 4-5 hours of sunlight. For shade lovers, a cosy, bright indoor spot will do just fine. Water them once the soil is completely dry—no soggy roots, please! (We promise, your plant will thank you!)
Can I grow succulents indoors?
Absolutely! Many succulents love the indoor life as long as they’re getting a nice sunny spot. Just make sure to give them plenty of light, airflow, and the occasional drink (when they're dry, of course).
Do succulents need a lot of water?
Succulents are total hydration divas—they love to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering? That’s a big no-no! Water them when the soil is dry to the touch, and give the roots a nice drink (not just the leaves, please!).
Do you ship plants to my area?
Yes, we ship all across Australia (except for Western Australia, Northern Territory, and Tasmania, due to quarantine restrictions). Make sure your address is correct at checkout, and we'll take care of the rest.
What if my plants arrive damaged?
Uh-oh! If your plants arrive looking a little worse for wear, send us pics within 24 hours, and we’ll sort it out. We’ll guide you on how to revive them (they’re tougher than they look) or offer you a gift card if they’re beyond saving.
How are the plants shipped?
We ship all our plants bare-rooted, so no pots or excessive soil (just the good stuff!). This helps reduce the shipping weight and ensures your plants arrive fresh and healthy. Don’t worry, we package them with love!
Can I cancel my order?
If you need to cancel, you can do so within 48 hours of placing your order (as long as it hasn’t been dispatched yet). Just shoot us an email, and we’ll sort it out for you.
Can I add more plants to my order after placing it?
Once an order is placed, we can’t make any changes. But don’t stress, just place another order and we’ll ship it out to you ASAP.
How often should I fertilize my succulents?
We recommend feeding your succulents every 2nd-3rd watering with a half-strength fertilizer, like Thrive. They'll be thriving all year long!
What’s the best way to handle a plant that’s too tall or leggy?
Don’t be afraid to trim! If your succulent is stretching out too much, give it a little haircut, and it’ll grow back fuller. Just be sure to let the cuttings dry out before replanting them (and hey, you can grow even more plants this way!).
